I watched your show yesterday about FAIRWAY with Karen Stewart and I found it very interesting, thank you.

I however, think that Miss Stewart is on her way to undercover where the problem lies in our legal system but fell way short "To Tell ALL" as one professional doesn't speak negatively about another profession.

Her ability to speak unfettered way is curtailed by the professional ethics which are mandated.Her comments touched upon the tip of the iceberg and nobody wants to upset the vertical industry that makes million of dollars annually "divorce Industry" off the backs of children. It in my opinion is one of the largest transfers of wealth in this country aside from drugs and war.

I will disclose where our system falls apart for people like myself and my children. I owned a telecom business lived near Hogs Hollow in Toronto and was the typical Yuppy family.

I would have paid in taxes more than most people would earn in year. Since then I declared bankruptcy, lost the house, lost my business and almost lost my children. It all stopped when I started to sue everyone who came near my children or me, including the OCL, my former wife's lawyer etc.

I am very concerned that Ontario judges use the 5% as some sort of accomplishment within the legal system however, the system is a complete failure and there are many hidden problems that are not dealt with. I am very concerned about how judges are misled by what mots lawyers do in the court room because they fail to see what happens behind the scenes and do nothing about it.

I entered the legal system in 1996 and spent 15 years as a self represented person for most of the 73 court appearances in family court alone in what ought to have been a 1-2 year matter. There were criminal charges that I dealt with. I am proud to have lasted that long because I didn't give into my former wife's demands nor that of the legal system.

My former wife was able to continue the attack on me, she was relentlessness because Community and Social Services funded her fight for about 9 years by an unlimited legal aid certificate. She was on welfare for almost the entire 9 years and didn't pay one cent toward her legal bill, while she traveled abroad to Egypt on tax payers money.

It was only when one of my children decided to live with me and she was about to have to pay child support and spousal support that a resolution was found. Otherwise, her position was essentially my way or the highway attitude.

My son was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD, with CAS involvement. Doctors recommend drugs for his solution. CAS did commit an offense in my view when they tried to force and coerce my son to tell a lie so that I could be prosecuted.

He was identified at school, with 1 hour of education daily and was a real concern for teachers. He was labelled by the system and one step away from being compelled to take drugs for his alleged illness.

My son hasn't missed ONE day of school when he started to live with me, other than through various volleyball tournaments he had to play in Canada and USA. He hasn't had ONE police involvement, NOT ONE DROP OF DRUGS, not ONE CAS meeting or intervention, not ONE social worker. He ate, slept, respected others and did his house chores daily.

He has NO ADHD it was simple way to get him on drug dependencies and my former is an expert at doctor shopping and judge shopping.

He became a top student in his school, as an athlete and is recognized and well respected among his peers nowadays. He got MVP as an athlete, and top gun in his coop military program last year. He was on a full day school schedule the day he lived with me although the first year I home schooled him, he and now is accepted in one of Ontario colleges.

So tell me why the legal system, lawyers and my former failed me and my son? And why the system tried to label him and yet when he lived with me he was pretty much a model child? I have the answers if you are interested?

Our legal system and its infrastructure around it is BROKEN, FLAWED at the highest degree and allows primarily mothers (although not gender specific) to go after their former spouses without repercussions or financial consequences.

In the entire 15 years I have yet to collect one cent in court costs even though I won many motions. Is that an interesting fact, yet this case cost me millions of dollars of lost revenues?

I love to tell my story if Justice Brownstone is willing to hear what it is I have to say. It makes for very interesting conversation and how to deal with the legal system and children during and after divorce. My children are doing very well and are successful in what they do.

There are many solutions that I would implement to make it more effective. There is much sensitivity that our society and the legal system must implement before it gets better. The legal system is required to only consider the best interest of the child, most of the time it and the court orders which are issued and entered isn't about that! john, winningcourtstrategies.com
